The Broadcasts

Formed in February 2012 this four-piece band’s love of music grew through their years of secondary school.

In the early months of performing and writing music, the band recorded their first EP ‘Impossible’ (titled after their first single release). Since releasing the EP things haven’t stopped for this energetic, dedicated Alt Rock/Acoustic band as they have stormed the South Wales music scene.

The band were previously signed to independent record label Right Recordings LTD in early 2013 but left mid 2014 wanting to pursue bigger adventures independently. While singed to the label the band worked with esteemed record producer Stuart Epps (Oasis, Elton John) to record their debut singles ‘Silvertown’ and ‘Obstacles’, played a stormer of a show at The BBC Club, London, and, over the months, have also found themselves attending many radio interviews and live sessions across the UK including air play on BBC Radio 2, BBC Radio Wales and local station Nation Radio, with plenty of press coverage. Over the course of the band’s forming they have shared stages and played shows with BBC’s The Voice contestant Ragsy, Mike + The Mechanics’ Owen Paul’s new project and BBC Radio 1 DJ Huw Stephens, along with lots of under the radar talent from South Wales and beyond.

In May 2015 the boys embarked on their first UK tour where they stopped at Leicester, Mansfield, Northampton, Leeds and Swansea and had positive feedback from everyone that they came into contact with. They are now gearing up to release their self-titled 9 track album over the summer of 2015 recorded at the amazingly scenic Mwnci Studios, Pembrokeshire.
